    Dennis joined the Tokyo Canadians after meeting fellow alumnus Bruce Duff in Roppongi, Tokyo and by playing at Takadanobaba Citizen Rink on Saturday mornings with the Tokyo Pirates. He was introduced to the Tokyo Canadians by Takemoto san, an old colleague of Joji Hiratsuka‘s from HSBC.

    Denny is proud of how the team represented Canadians in overseas tournaments, the charitable donations the team made, and with all the Embassy/fundraising parties, one at which he met his wife!

    In a message to the current Tokyo Canadians members Dennis says, “I now wish I had gone to every single tournament that I didn’t attend!”

    Dennis works in the moving industry for Schumacher Cargo which is based out of Los Angeles, but he and his family live in Plano, Texas where he works remotely.

    Denny’s son Jayden, 11-years-old, is playing travel hockey, Tier 2 (basically AA) for the Dallas Penguins, and he’s trying to make the AAA team, but not quite yet. The Waechters also have two beautiful daughters, Kaitlyn, 9, and Juliet, 4.

    Dennis still playing beer league Hockey in the Dallas Fort Worth area, both in goal and as a forward.
